Third Street South announces the return of the successful La Bonne Vie Pop Up Shop for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. La Bonne Vie is the high-end collaborative showcase for top couture luxury brands and established and renowned artists that was such a hit. It will again be in the space next to Jane’s Cafe and A Mano in the Camargo Courtyard reached from both Third Street South and Thirteenth Avenue.
La Bonne Vie will open in January with the iconic French fashion house, Balmain, founded by Pierre Balmain in 1945. The clothes and accessories will be chosen especially for Naples and with the Winter Wine Festival in mind.
Following Balmain, running from February through April, La Bonne Vie will once again spotlight designer Ala von Auersperg's newest collection of elegant, flowy clothes, alongside a carefully curated rotation of trunk shows featuring accessories, vintage treasures, antiques, and unique home décor finds. A full schedule of these rotating trunk shows will be released ahead of the opening date.
"We are delighted to return to Naples for a second year of collaboration with Third Street South," said founder Ala von Auersperg. “We are excited to deepen our connection with this vibrant community, and share our collections created for graceful, glamorous living.”
Ala von Auersperg is synonymous with luxury and sophistication. Crafted from the finest materials, the collection evokes sun-soaked escapes and timeless elegance. With easy, flowing silhouettes and unique, art-inspired prints, the designs empower women to feel confident and beautiful at any age.
As a tribute to Ala’s late mother-in-law, esteemed artist Sheila Isham, the pop-up will feature a curated selection of her significant works on paper. Sheila’s artwork is celebrated for its lasting impact, with pieces in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Smithsonian Institution and Artis-Naples. Additionally, the pop-up will exclusively debut a capsule collection of embellished caftans—each uniquely inspired by Sheila’s iconic artwork, blending art and fashion in a wearable form.
Ala will be working in collaboration with friend and interior designer Meg Braff to create complementary interiors and carefully curated tabletops, especially for the collaborative pop-up shop.
Pierre Balmain
The House of Balmain
More than 75 years ago, when Pierre Balmain first introduced his “New French Style,” it immediately became clear to all that his eponymous house was offering a distinctly fresh, bold, and feminine conception of haute couture, one which broke with many of the well-established conventions of the era. His audaciousness paid off. Pierre Balmain became one of the handful of young French talents who ushered in the mid-century golden age of couture and helped to re-establish Paris as the world’s fashion capital.
Since 2011, Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing has been inventively building upon Pierre Balmain’s extraordinary legacy, while always remaining true to his own determination to design clothes that reflect the way his inclusive, powerful, and global Balmain Army wishes to live today. The result is a unique and instantly recognizable Balmain silhouette, style, and attitude that highlights the singular craftsmanship of the house’s celebrated ateliers, while consistently referencing a rich Parisian heritage.

Ala Von Auersperg
Ala’s journey in fashion began as a child when, as the young Princess Annie-Laurie von Auersperg, she visited Parisian couture houses with her mother, Sunny Crawford von Bülow, and grandmother, Annie Laurie Aitken. Her love of the creative process was developed from painting lessons with Ophrah Shemesh, a teacher from the New Studio School. Longtime friend and designer Antonio Gual suggested she print one of her paintings on a dress, and the Ala von Auersperg brand was born.
Sheila Eaton Isham
Sheila Eaton Isham’s work is held in major public and private collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MOMA), The Hirshhorn Museum, The National Museum for Women in the Arts, The San Francisco Museum, the Baker Museum in Naples and many others. Married to a senior U.S. diplomat, she derived inspiration from her extensive travels and experiences.

Rosior
Rosior may well be the best Portuguese jewelery brand you’ve never heard of: renowned within royal, collectors’, and high-society circles for its exquisite bespoke jewelery and precious heirloom creations, Rosior has operated for more than 40 years through the esteemed and almost secretive "word-of-mouth" recommendations of its loyal clientele. Rosior was founded by José Manuel Rosas in 1978, but to fully appreciate the heritage of this pioneering brand, one must go back generations...to 19th century Porto and the year 1890, when Rosas’ grandfather established Rosas de Portugal: the cornerstone of a new era in Portugal’s gold smithing industry.
