The face of Spanky's Speakeasy

Guest Writer

Things are definitely getting better with age at Spanky's Speakeasy. The iconic Naples landmark is going on its 41st year, making it one of the most historic restaurants in Southwest Florida.

Emily Monty, along with her husband, Ted, have owned Spanky's for the last decade. Known for its laid back and local southern charm Spanky’s continues to live up to its expectation of having the best prime rib and salad bar. Plenty other American fare favorites are available for lunch and dinner Mondays through Saturdays.

Everyone has a place at Spanky's whether it’s in the nostalgic dining room, on the open air waterfront patio, or in Naples best local “dive bar.” Their newly revised cocktail list boasts new specialty cocktails and an extensive bourbon list.

Emily is a Neapolitan, born and raised in Naples. In her free time she can be found baking Naples' best key lime pies. Awarded best in the Gulfshore Life in 2024, the family recipe was created by chance by Emily's dad, Ken. He made it for a family dinner one night. It was so good they joked he should make it for the Spanky's. The rest is history, fast forward five years and they can hardly keep it in stock!

As Emily and Ted start the 2025 season, they would like to sincerely thank their loyal customers while they look forward to meeting new ones.
