Spring into the Arts Gala!

Honoring Southwest Florida Distinguished Women in the Arts


The Creative Women’s Connection of the International Network of Creatives (INC) invites women in all genres of the arts, art lovers and friends, to its second annual Spring into the Arts Gala Luncheon and Fashion Show on March 5, 11:00 a.m., at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, FL. Come and immerse yourself in a unique, art-filled, and colorful celebration of the arts that includes a fashion show, high-value live and silent auctions, a gourmet luncheon, an art exhibit, stellar entertainment, and more!


Honoring creative women who support the arts and impact culture INC will honor six distinguished women in the arts who have made a significant impact in Southwest Florida and beyond.


This year’s Gala honorees include


Emily James, renowned Florida-based and internationally recognized artist is the Honorary Chair of the Gala. Emily’s works are included in numerous private and corporate collections across the country and abroad. She is a recipient of the Outstanding Young Woman in America in Arts and Suncoast Watercolor Society awards.


Patty Baker, a philanthropic leader in the arts and community, providing generous support and leadership to organizations including the Gulfshore Playhouse, the Kizzie Theater, the Naples Players, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and many more. Patty is an award-winning Broadway producer and has received a Tony for her work. Some of her shows include Memphis, Beautiful, To Kill a Mockingbird, Gypsy, and others.


Harriet Heithaus, local journalist par excellence and arts and entertainment columnist. Harriet brings music, theater, dance, visual arts, and artists to life in her beautifully crafted newspaper and magazine articles. Harriet is the recipient of the Stars in the Arts award for excellence in leadership from the United Arts Council and the Ovation Award for support of community theater from Naples Players.



Lois Thome, WINK News Anchor and Gala MC. Lois has been recognized as the “Best News Anchor” in Southwest Florida, has won numerous business and community awards, and was voted one of the Top Women of the Year by Gulfshore Life Magazine.


Dr. Jeanie Darnell, Professor of Music and Head of Vocal Studies at FGCU’s Bower School of Music. As a concert artist, Jeanie has been hailed for her “bell-like” tones and has been a featured performer in demand with orchestras and operas throughout the United States and Europe.



Sue Huff, owner of E. Sue Huff & Associates Marketing and Management Consulting, brings a background in graphic arts, broadcast, and theater to her support of Southwest Florida businesses and non-profits. She is a founding member of Women of Initiative Community Foundation of Collier County and is a board member of various organizations.
