A conversation with Heather Clegg

We seek to know who you are, what you value, and what keeps you up at night. While it's easy to view wealth as an end goal, or a marker of what being successful looks like, we believe that money is a tool that can be used to embrace our purpose and live a more fulfilled life."

As co-founder and Managing Director with Kyros Private Wealth, Heather and her partner/husband Bill work with each client to enrich many dimensions of their lives, including not just investments and business but also in helping them achieve satisfaction through their passions and the legacy they want to build. She also oversees the firm's business development strategies and community involvement.

A Florida native, Heather earned a master’s degree and a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University. She began her career in the financial industry at Fidelity Investments and went on to become Senior Wealth Strategy Associate at UBS Financial Services Inc.-The Clegg Group. She has deeply rooted ties to the community, and has served on many boards and committees, including New Horizons of Southwest Florida, Hunger & Homeless Coalition of Collier County, Friends of Hope Hospice and The Village School of Naples.

"The concept of community involvement has been a guiding force in my life, and it's something we take to heart in our business," Heather says. "My parents believed part of our purpose on this earth is to show kindness and compassion. Because children learn by observing their parents and other adults, we've tried to ensure that our son, now age 11, has been involved in philanthropic activities from a very young age."

"People often confuse philanthropy with donating to a cause. When clients ask us how to best introduce their own children/grandchildren to philanthropy in addition to teaching them the value of a nickel versus a quarter, we encourage them to introduce the concept of sharing through age-appropriate activities.  Young children can make cards for hospitalized children; older ones can tutor or mentor under-resourced students."

"Our proudest moments in our firm happen when we see in our clients the purpose and joy in how they're living. And personally, I want my proudest moment to be not something I did, but who I raised."
