Naples-based artist Amy Moglia Heuerman is showcasing her popular series of “The Girls,” in her Amy Art Gallery + Studio, paintings that feature faceless figures in dancing movements against Heuerman’s signature layered backgrounds. Combining figurative and abstract styles, “The Girls” collection ranges from paintings with simple, youthful exuberance to more complex attitudes with intricate, colorful patterns in the figures’ attires. The paintings are available in multiple sizes, from as small as 12x12 inches to as large as 60x72 inches.

Heuerman commented that, “’The Girls’ are a series of characters that I paint to express the joy and freedom of my inner child. I leave them faceless so that the focus is on the emotional expression of their bodies. The main thing is that they are primitive and raw. They are meant to be paintings of feelings and not portraits. I’ve been gratified that the paintings are collected by both men and women for a variety of spaces, from children’s bedrooms to elegant foyers.”

Heuerman paints in a variety of genres. “The Girls” paintings are exhibited alongside Heuerman’s abstract “Color Play" series of paintings, as well as her coastal scenes.

Heuerman’s Amy Art Gallery + Studio is located at 950 1st Avenue North in the Naples Design District. The gallery is a loft-like space bathed in light streaming through soaring, double-height wraparound windows. There are several areas of exhibit space featuring Heuerman’s artwork, a reception area, and salon style seating.
