For many students, the Miami Open offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see professional athletes up close, and last year, Miguel Font, the head coach of the Palmetto Ridge High Girls Tennis team, brought four of his players to the event. This year, he's planning to bring an even larger group. “The experience was amazing,” Coach Font shared. “My players that went to the Miami Open got to see elite-class tennis—some of them for the first time. They were able to get autographs from several players, both men and women. For one of my graduating girls, it was her first time there, and she’s already making plans to go again this year! I think it was a positive experience for all of us, and it brought the team closer.”
