I recall fondly the nightly ritual of sharing stories with my hardworking single mother, who instilled in me a love for books amidst her tireless efforts to provide for our family. Our reading sessions were more than mere bedtime routines; they were precious moments of bonding, learning, and dreaming together.
However, I recognize that not all families are as fortunate to have access to books and quality time for reading. Many in our community face economic challenges that hinder their ability to prioritize literacy at home, potentially depriving their children of crucial developmental opportunities. It’s a gap that can lead to educational disparities and hinder a child’s future success.

Last year alone, we distributed over 32,000 books to nearly 2,700 children from birth to age five.
