A New Era of Professional Theatre

Gulfshore Playhouse Unveils the Baker Theatre and Education Center

The opening of the Baker Theatre and Education Center marks a new chapter for Gulfshore Playhouse, setting a higher standard for live theatre in Naples. As the city’s only professional theatre, Gulfshore Playhouse has been a cornerstone of cultural life in Southwest Florida. Now, with its state-of-the-art facility featuring a Broadway-sized stage, Gulfshore Playhouse is ready to produce shows that rival even the most renowned theaters in the country.

Located at Goodlette-Frank Road and First Avenue South, the new home of Gulfshore Playhouse is more than a venue; it’s a symbol of artistic excellence. Talented creatives and performers, many from New York City, bring their passion and expertise to Naples, ensuring every aspect of production—from sets to costumes to performances—is meticulously crafted to Broadway standards by our full-time staff.

For theatre lovers in Naples, the opening of the Baker Theatre and Education Center means they no longer have to travel to New York to see top-tier theatre. World-class productions are now right here, in their own backyard, offering an experience that can’t be found anywhere else in the region.

The new building features two distinct performance spaces: the grand Moran Mainstage and the flexible Struthers Studio. The Moran Mainstage, with its Broadway-sized stage, will host the theatre’s biggest productions, starting November 1 with the tap-dancing spectacle Anything Goes. The season continues with thrilling shows like Dial M For Murder, the farce Noises Off, and the beloved musical Sweet Charity, promising unforgettable theatre in Naples.

The Struthers Studio is designed for more intimate, edgier performances. For Every Brilliant Thing, the seating will be in-the-round, immersing audiences in the interactive storytelling as a single actor navigates the highs and lows of life. The Lehman Trilogy will use a thrust setup to tell the dramatic rise and fall of the Lehman family. Meanwhile, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill will transform the space into a jazz club with cabaret seating, making audiences feel as if they’re watching a private performance by Billie Holiday.

As the excitement builds, it’s clear that the new home of Gulfshore Playhouse is the hottest ticket in town. The inaugural season promises to be an unforgettable journey into the world of live theatre, with each show offering something extraordinary. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this historic moment—experience world-class theatre right here in Naples at Gulfshore Playhouse in the new Baker Theatre and Education Center.
